BetterTrooper

BetterTrooper plays the battles of the MiniTroopers remaster (trooperstest.gued.es) with a faster player: the site's battle client with performance fixes, a patched Ruffle, and controls to pause, change the speed, jump between waves and events, and follow the battle log. It is unofficial: made by players, not affiliated with Motion Twin nor with the team of the remaster.

A battle of the site, https://<army>.trooperstest.gued.es/b/fview/13449126, is at https://bettertrooper.milvintsiss.com/b/fview/13449126 here. ?wave=3 or ?event=120 start the replay at the third wave or after 120 events. The Share button of a battle gives both links, the original one second: it keeps working even if BetterTrooper disappears.

Browser extension

With the BetterTrooper extension, every battle you open on the site opens here, and the Back button brings you back to your army. On this site, it only tells the page that it is there and whether it is on, so that the page does not show how to install it. It does nothing else.

It is on its way to Firefox Add-ons (computer and Android) and to the Chrome Web Store (Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera and other Chromium browsers). Until then, the userscript below does the same on a computer too, with Tampermonkey for Firefox or Chrome.

Userscript (iPhone, iPad, Android)

Browsers without extensions can do the same with a userscript manager: Tampermonkey or Userscripts for Safari on iPhone and iPad, Tampermonkey for Edge on Android. Install the manager, enable it in the browser's settings, then open bettertrooper.user.js. Without anything installed, battles still open here from their BetterTrooper link.

Privacy

No account, no cookie, no advertising, no tracker. Two things are kept:

• The battles opened here, as the site publishes them (armies, troopers, events), so that their links keep working. Each new battle is read once from the site.
• Anonymous measures, once per visit: frames per second, loading times, what the viewer could not handle (log lines, events, errors), the battle's number, whether the extension or the userscript is there, and a coarse description of the device (phone, tablet or computer, system and browser with their major version, cores, memory, rounded screen size). No IP address, no identifier. They show how the viewer runs on real devices (stats) and are kept 12 months. They are not sent when your browser asks sites not to track it (Do Not Track, Global Privacy Control), nor after Don't send anonymous stats.
